About TNN
The
Reservation Service Advantage
1. What makes TNN unique?
-
TNN
members are travel professionals with established office policies, extensive first hand knowledge of the areas they represent, and years of experience helping the traveling public.
-
TNN
members represent a niche market of selective private home bed and breakfasts, small inns and lodges, and unhosted /apartments.
-
TNN
Members have exclusive marketing rights to their territories, making it possible to cooperate within the organization to help with referrals and multiple destination itineraries.
2. What does TNN
inventory consist of? TNN agencies may represent some or all of the following:
-
Private Home Bed and Breakfasts which are owner occupied and often only available through the
TNN affiliate
-
Full Service B&B's/Inns which
are open to the public and may or may not serve meals (other than breakfast,
if licensed), have expanded amenities, and non-owner management.
-
Unhosted lodging in guesthouses, apartments, condos, cottages which provide privacy, but all the facilities of a home.
These are popular inns, but not limited to, large cities.
-
Selected Hotels, Motels and Cabins which may supplement the options to give complete representation of the area.
3. Why are TNN
Reservation Services a good choice for the consumer?
-
Gift
Certificates are available and may be used at any of our
member properties.
-
TNN
Services see all the properties they represent. In this age of Internet convenience, first hand knowledge is not the norm! Through
TNN, customers have access to thousands of quality small properties around the country and in selected areas abroad.
-
Contacting TNN
always means a
knowledgeable travel professional is going to respond, as
oppose to a virtual site manager, a generic customer service rep, or
a computer generated answering service!
-
Reservation Service Organizations, joined through the
TNN association, provide customers with consistent, impartial information.
The consumer saves time, money and effort otherwise spent in
their own exhaustive research. The RSO can match the consumers' needs with the available
lodging, coupling their goals with the appropriate amenities offered. If one location is
unavailable, an immediate alternative can be suggested.
-
Guest policies are identified
prior to confirmation, so there are no unexpected
conditions or surprises upon arrival.
-
Through frequent
property inspections and a constant flow of feedback from
guest comments, as
required by TNN bylaws, members can assure
travelers of clean, safe, and appealing accommodations.
-
Reservation services
can often assist with suggestions to compliment the B&B experience such as
choices for dining, recreational options, travel directions, public transportation, and
special events
4. What is the cost of Bed
and Breakfast Lodging?
-
The B&B's average
about $85-$200 per night per room. Rates vary depending upon
location, time of the year, and special amenities such as
fireplaces or Jacuzzis.
-
Many properties also
offer weekly or monthly rates for long term stays.
-
Most reservations require
some type of deposit to hold the reservation. Each
RSO operates differently in this regard.
-
Some RSO services charge
a slight fee for their services, but most do not.
5. How can TNN
help with general industry questions?
-
TNN
contacts cover the gamut of urban, suburban, and rural travel destinations.
-
TNN
members can be resources for questions such as
tourism trends, customer relations, zoning, seasonal travel planning , and pricing.
-
TNN
has collectively hundreds of years worth of experience with Bed and Breakfasts, including teaching classes on starting a B&B, staffing seminars on tourism, and doing Media expos.
